Esteemed Participants,
As the Secretary General of the NEHMUN’26, it is my great honor and pride to welcome you all to the 5th edition of Nene Hatun College Model United Nations. I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude. NEHMUN would not exist without the time, effort, and commitment of many people who believed in this conference and worked patiently to bring it to life. This process has been shaped by shared responsibility, support, and trust, and I am deeply thankful for every contribution made along the way.
My name is Eda Hilal, and it is my utmost honour to welcome you to NEHMUN. Serving as Secretary-General for the second time makes this conference even more meaningful for me. This conference is especially meaningful to me not only as Secretary-General, but also because it may be the final time I have the privilege of serving in this role during my high school years. Throughout my time in MUN, what began as simple curiosity gradually turned into a passion that shaped my confidence, perspective, and sense of responsibility. Standing here today is the result of that journey, and it makes this moment even more special for me.
Regardless of your level of experience, every delegate has an important role in this conference. Whether this is your first MUN or one of many, your ideas, efforts, and participation matter. Each voice contributes to the discussions and to the overall success of the conference.
I encourage you all to approach this conference with confidence, openness, and respect. Embrace every opportunity, rise to every challenge, and let your passion be your guide. This is your moment to make a difference, to learn, and to inspire others. Once again, welcome to NEHMUN’26. I wish you a productive, inspiring, and memorable conference.
Best regards,
Eda Hilal
Secretary General of NEHMUN’26
Esteemed Delegates and Distinguished Participants,
As the Director General of NEHMUN’26, it is a great pride and honor for me to welcome you all. The fifth edition of this conference is not merely an event; it is the reflection of shared dedication, determination, and collective effort.
Through months of preparation, careful planning, and strong teamwork, we have worked diligently to create a conference atmosphere built on discipline and commitment. At this point, I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our Secretary General Eda Hilal, for her vision, leadership, and steady guidance throughout this process. Her dedication has played a significant role in shaping NEHMUN into what it is today.
As Director General, my primary responsibility is to ensure that this conference maintains high academic standards while providing an organized and efficient environment for all participants. However, what truly defines NEHMUN is not only its structure, but the individuals within it. Your ideas, determination, and diplomatic approach will ultimately shape the spirit of this conference. Regardless of your level of experience, each of you is an essential part of this journey.
Model United Nations is not solely about debate; it is about taking responsibility, understanding diverse perspectives, and demonstrating the courage to seek solutions. I sincerely hope that this conference will contribute to your growth both academically and personally.
I encourage you all to speak with confidence, listen with respect, and act with integrity throughout the conference.
May NEHMUN’26 be an inspiring, impactful, and truly memorable experience for all of us.
Best regards,
Zuhal Bildik
